C.            Isolate dissimilar materials to prevent electrolysis. Separate bituminous coating.

D.            Secure reglets and counter flashing using continuous cleats, clips and fasteners in accordance with product data and as indicated.

3.2           REGLET AND FLASHING INSTALLATION

                 A.           Install reglets in accordance with manufacturer's product data, level and true to line.  Verify that through -

wall counter flashing occurs at or above reglet locations.

                                 1.       ** Surface mounted ** and stucco ** reglets:  Install reglets as walls are built.

TWO CHOICES BELOW FOR CONCRETE AND MASONRY REGLETS:

FIRST REQUIRES THAT THE MASON INSTALL AS WALLS ARE BUILT

OR HAVE ROOFER SAWCUT AND INSTALL AFTER WALL IS UP.

                                 2.       ** Concrete ** Masonry ** reglets:  Install reglets as walls are built.

                                                                                         ** OR **

                                            RETAIN FOR PRECAST AND TILT-UP.

                                  2.       ** Concrete ** Masonry ** reglets:  Install reglets after walls are built.

                                             a.       Sawcut joint to receive reglet to a depth of approximately 1/4" greater than the depth of the

                                                      horizontal back leg of reglet.

                                             b.      Insert reglet into sawcut and wedge in place using lead wedges installed at 2'-0" o.c., maximum.

Hammer wedges to a depth which will not interfere with sealant or backer rod.

                                             c.      Install exterior sealant in accordance with Sealants and Caulking section, to form fillet bead

                                                      minimizing holding of water.

EDIT BELOW PER MEMBRANE TYPE; SINGLE PLIES TYPICALLY

                                              DO NOT HAVE CANTS.

                                             d.      Install with top of reglet minimum 7" above high point of cant strip (adjacent roof).

                                             e.      Install reglets with 1" factory formed end lap and counter flashing with 3" end lap.

                 B.           Provide factory-fabricated corners at changes in direction.

                 C.           Following installation of roofing, install counter flashing by snapping into reglet in accordance with

manufacturer's product data.  Overlap adjacent lengths 6" minimum, to allow for expansion and contraction.

Caulk top edge of reglet using exterior sealant.
